MOTTO – MAKING FOR OTHERS FIRST

Conflicts in Nigeria bear the hallmarks of emerging threats to international peace and security. Their root causes are however multifaceted and we must therefore recognize the need for a comprehensive approach to resolving them.

Above all, our response must be situated within the rubric of the quest for collective security responsibility which rest on everyone. Many communities are divided by economic class, race, colour, caste, gender and religion. Violence, intimidation, abuse and exploitation thrive in the shadows of division and inequality.

Domestic violence is a hidden tragedy in societies everywhere. To build peace in our communities, we must break the culture of silence about violence in the home and society. We must teach and advocate for tolerance, non-violence and mutual respect. It is in response to these challenges that Peace Empowerment Foundation was established.
